Born in Barclayville, Liberia |

Jebbeh left Liberia when she was fifteen to pursue a better education. Initially she lived in Hamilton, where she attended Columbia International College. In 2013, after graduating, she moved to Toronto to complete her studies at The University of Toronto’s St. George Campus where she is studying Sociology. Jebbeh finds the city to be especially beautiful at night, and appreciates the fact that she can feel safe here when she is out alone.

Toronto as Home

Jebbeh wanted to be photographed outside of her residence. Being able to spend time outdoors is very important to Jebbeh as she spent her childhood living on a farm. At Chestnut Residence she feels safe, and it is here where she first felt at home in Toronto.

Connection with the Past

On this button is a picture of her father who is smiling in front of a Liberian flag. Jebbeh explains how her father is the number one man in her life and so this button represents the two things she loves most  dearly, her father and her country.
